    We process this data based on our legitimate interests (providing support, managing accounts, and invoicing) or, where required, on your consent.

    3.2 Information Collected Automatically

    When you access AuditReporter.io, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage. This may include:

    • IP address

    • Device type and operating system

    • Browser type

    • Broad geographic location (city/country level based on IP)

    • Log and performance data

    This processing is based on our legitimate interests to secure, maintain, and improve our Service.

    In the course of using our Service, customers enter personal data about individuals involved in their audit processes. This may include, but is not limited to:

    The above categories are required for the proper functioning of the Service. Customers may enter additional information at their discretion to support their audit activities.

    Purpose and Legal Basis:

    We process this data on behalf of our customers to fulfill our contractual obligations under the service agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

    Important: The Service is not designed to process special categories of personal data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR, including but not limited to data concerning health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, genetic data, biometric data, or data concerning a person's sex life or sexual orientation. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they do not enter such sensitive personal information into the Service.

    3.4 Payment Information

    Payment processing is handled by Mollie B.V., located in the Netherlands. We do not store your credit card or payment details ourselves. Mollie processes all payment data within the European Union in compliance with GDPR.

    3.4 Cookies and Analytics

    We use cookies to ensure the proper functioning of our Service.

    • Functional cookies: required for login sessions and core functionality.

    • Analytics cookies: we use Matomo (self-hosted within the EU) to analyze service usage in a privacy-friendly way.

    We do not use cookies for marketing or advertising purposes. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before setting analytics cookies.
